  5. Thanks, Patti, Jann and Betty! We have had a wonderful time, but going home is far from a let-down! We enjoy our life wherever we are! We're headed for the airport soon and, while we're not looking forward to the long trip back, we'll be happy to be back home.

  6. I've had company for several days and so have gotten behind in my readings and postings. Thanks for sharing these photographs with us. I've never really wanted to go to Hawaii, but I see I've been missing an opportunity to find beauty.

I hope that your re-entry into the routine of your normal life is not a bumpy one.

    Peace.

  7. Hi, Dee. Thanks for your comment. I so love swimming and the ocean (a really special treat now that we're in Arizona) that Hawaii is just about my favorite place. But it IS a hassle to get there and back, that's for sure. I think our re-entry will be just fine -- we love our home in Arizona and have really missed our three cats and our neighbors so we're looking forward to getting home. Another reason: I want to sit down and read through all your existing convent posts while eagerly awaiting the new ones! Thanks for making updates so convenient!

  8. Oh, Kathy -- simply heavenly! It's gray and gloomy here in Michigan. Our sunny skies will return one day and we'll see glorious colors, but right now there's a lot of gray. So seeing all your blue skies is truly a welcome sight! Safe travels home!

  10. It's so beautiful that it doesn't seem real. The food, too, just looked delightful. Is that you toasting? What a lovely, friendly face.

  11. Hello, Dr. Kathy,

I have just read back over a few of your recent psots. What a wise lady you are.
Your holiday photographs are gorgeous, ou have been fortunate to have been able to stay in a place which comes close to heaven on earth.

Observing others is something I like to do too.
I get to see few, if any, honeymooners ever, but realising that there are still couples who behave slightly awkwardly during their 'special' days comes as a surprise to me. I would've thought that most couples know enough about each other to have few awkward corners left.

  12. Thanks so much for your comments, Jeanie, Pearl, Grandmother and Friko!
It was heaven. And, yes, Pearl, I began to realize that my bliss was perhaps a bit over the top when I found myself taking pictures of the parking lot!! Jeanie, if it's any consolation, it rained the last night and day we were there! When we left the Seahouse after taking a picture of that sunset, we got drenched on our way back! Thanks so much for your nice comment about the toasting picture, Grandmother! It did turn out well and I was thinking good thoughts of the two friends who got married while we were away. Friko, I appreciate your comments about my posts and share your puzzlement about why couples these days would be awkward with each other. Someone commenting on that particular post brought up the excellent point that many young couples haven't spent much time alone with each other -- having spent their courtship hanging out with their friends.
