It's hard-won wisdom that comes from reflecting on your own experiences of what others might call failure and what you, when you are feeling depressed and blue, might also term failure. But as you point out so wonderfully well, all end up for the good. Out of death, comes life. Out of darkness, light spreads. And out of our own fears, when we face them, comes a strength that helps us embrace ourselves with all our glory and all our many warts.

I'm sorry to learn that "Purr Therapy" is out of print of now. I so enjoyed the book and meeting the cats and learning how they helped so many of your clients.

Thank you for sharing Ollie's story with us. Life is surely mystery and his entering your life is a sign of that. Peace. I'm sorry for the loss of Dr. McFarlane, and the fate of your book.

But so happy to see Ollie and hear about how well he's doing!

I always read your posts, and they always speak to me, even though it's been awhile since I've left a comment.jenny_ohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15475480579733466963noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7754684819908801536.post-10137431715000933802018-09-28T11:23:27.227-07:002018-09-28T11:23:27.227-07:00Because Jeanne wrote about this on FB I have found...Because Jeanne wrote about this on FB I have found a copy of this book thru Amazon and purchased it. Or rather than destroying the copies, have some of them returned to you? You might be able to do something with it if the rights revert back to you. Not that you would necessarily want to but it would be nice to know you could remain in control versus it disappearing into the ether (or a fire pit). It's a lovely book and it makes me so sad to hear this.

Yes, our failures always teach us. But that doesn't mean they're always a failure in every way as you said. I stand by your beautiful book. I wish they would, too.Jeaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17482528482559445943noreply@blogger.com
